Masterson’s Tavern , located in the heart of Moonee Ponds , advertises itself as a stylish, alternative venue , but my unfortunate encounter at this establishment became a nightmarish ordeal . While the bar may seem appealing from the exterior , what I discovered behind its threshold was disgraceful and unfit for any venue.
The Condition of the Premises : Squalid and Disregarded
From the moment I entered , it was evident that hygiene was not a priority at this venue. The floorboards were filthy, and a nauseating aroma of uncleaned spills and uncleaned toilets suffused the entire pub. With a smell of a mixture of ammonia , putrefaction and sickness . The counter , which should be the main attraction of any pub, was overflowing with soiled cups and debris that looked like it hadn’t been cleaned in weeks .
